ICEBERG: final workshop (online – offline)

The results of the project will be presented during the workshop

This project aims to develop and demonstrate novel cost-effective circular smart solutions for an upgraded recovery of secondary building raw materials along the entire circular value chain: from end-of-life building materials (EBM) to new building products prepared for circularity, resource-efficiency and containing 30wt% to 100wt% of high-purity (>92%) recycled content.

The ICEBERG project, led by TECNALIA Research & Innovation and involving 35 private and public organizations from ten European countries, is reaching its culmination with the final workshop scheduled for April 19th in Ghent, Belgium. The final workshop will be held both online and in person. It targets an expert external audience and will commence at 8:30 a.m.

Over the past 4 years ICEBERG has developed and upscaled:

    · Digital tools

    · Recycling technologies

    · Eco-design and manufacturing of more circular building solutions

   · Implementation of six pilot circular case studies, covering building materials that account for over 85% of the European built environment by weight

    · Others: policies, standards

During the workshop, we will present the project results and analyze various work areas, including smart services and software for end-of-life building materials, advanced sorting and recycling technologies, new circular building products, and policy recommendations.

Target audience:

The workshop is intended for a specialized technical audience, including entities from sister projects, professionals (demolition companies, recycling companies, architects, engineering companies, manufacturers, etc.), students, and future professionals.
