At the moment of writing these lines, ICEBERG project has passed its first year and a half. During this period, the consortium has developed functional tools for quick digitalisation of end-of-life buildings, enhanced planning and accurate quantification and identification of demolition waste and traceability for improved circularity of construction and demolition materials. The participants have also reported their progress on developing and upscaling recycling technologies and circular designed products for new buildings in two intermediate public documents. Our wishes for the new year are to continue doing our best to complete the prototypes for waste treatment to produce high-purity secondary raw materials and the design and manufacturing of new circular construction products. Another ICEBERG aim for 2022 is to increase our external communication and collaboration with other experts, stakeholders and related research projects, so do not hesitate to contact us.
